I came across this beautiful article about Guruji in The Hindu, by Gautam Chatterjee which I felt I should share with you. It includes his last telephonic interview to the media, back in 2008, his reminscing on his warm relationships amongst the stalwarts that included Pandit Kishan Maharaj and Samta Prasad.
He recalls about his Benares experiences,
Sur lagaane ka tareeqa alag hai. Aur ye sur laga tha Banaras me.
